May 25, 201313 yr Is there anything new by way of flash for the 10i? Similar to the m1015 help from BetaQuasi. The IBM Support site shows two versions of the ServeRAID-BR10i ... a 49Y3701 and a 44E8689 Unfortunately, both versions show "No results found" when searching for any available updates. So the answer to your question would seem to be No, there are no newer firmware updates available.
May 25, 201313 yr As a matter of interest, what problem(s) with this controller are you trying to resolve with updated firmware?
May 25, 201313 yr One more note ... the BR10i uses the LSI SAS1068E chipset. A few updates to this were posted a couple years ago in this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12767.msg121129#msg121129 Note that this chipset does NOT support drives > 2TB ... so if that's what you're trying to do, the solution is to buy a different controller !
May 25, 201313 yr Author My question is one of opportunity. I've got a few of them. A friend is looking for a low profile card supported by esxi. Since he'd got 3tb drives already there no good to him. Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the replies. Understand. I'd say opportunity is going to rapidly fade in terms of being able to sell BR10i's (or any controller that doesn't support > 2TB drives) ... so you may want to advertise these on eBay NOW and get what you can, unless you have a personal use for them. Folks building large storage arrays are not going to be interested (i.e. the UnRAID community), because of the lack of large drive support; but folks who just want a modest size RAID array for a PC likely wont' care about the size restriction ... but as 3, 4, and 5TB drives drop in price that will rapidly change.
