RobJ
Very impressive! Great price too. Very interesting read, thanks for the link. With the design and new technologies, this may be the first of a new generation of PSU's. Extremely quiet too. Probably bigger than almost all unRAID users need. One caveat, the 6 SATA connectors and the 6 Molex connectors are all on the first rail (22 Amps), along with the CPU 24-pin connector. That's fine for desktop users, and unRAID Basic and Plus users, but not for Pro users. They will need PCI Express cable adapters, to take advantage of the 36 Amps on each of the third and fourth rails. I haven't seen that adapter, but I'm sure they are out there. Quote Link to comment
jesuslovesbacon
Drat. Although I've never used them before, I think the PCI express 6 and 8 pin connectors only have +12V leads (and ground). Hard drives need +5V as well. So the adapter cable would be convoluted (need to pick up the 5V from a molex and a 12V from the PCI express connector) Quote Link to comment
jimwhite
anther reason to stick to single rail PSU's... Quote Link to comment
