The addition of 'lookupcache=none,noac' to 'defaults,soft,nolock,nfsvers=3' stabilized the mount immediately. Prior to that option I would start throwing stale handles from Plex scanning the mount.

 

 

not sure if i should ask here, or in the esxi thread, but does anyone know where I can define these parameters when mounting an NFS datastore in esxi 5?

 

edit: i've seen the KB article, that doesn't help much..
