Seagate SV35 Vs WD reds/greens

Recommended Posts

Thought id post my preclear times of my wd greens vs my new sv35's for 3tb 1gb per platter flavor.  Note both were raw from factory.  I assume the wd reds would be as fast as the greens for preclear.

Hmm the WD30EZRX-00DC0B0 is a 1tb platter

The WD30EZRX-00MMMB0/00AZ6B0 is a 750gb platter

Mine is a 00MMMB0  :(

Hadn't realized WD was now using 1TB platters in the Greens ... but nevertheless, as you've noted, the one you used for your chart about was the older 750GB platter unit.

Irrelevant for me ... I only buy Reds these days  :)

These are the preclear results from my new WD Red 3TB drive. It's running through my Supermicro SASLP-MV8 card and was running alongside the array performing normal duties.
