dikkiedirk
What is the most hassle and trouble-free DLNA mediaserver for streaming media (mkv, avi, mp4 DVDs) to my Sony TV. Which one to pick? PS3 Mediaserver, mediatomb, serviio or plex? Or possibly others? My Qnap TS-639 uses Twonky media server, which works OK with my TV. Quote Link to comment
PeterB
MiniDLNA is the one which works best for me. Quote Link to comment
dirtysanchez
If you have a Sony Smart TV, why not use the Plex for Google TV client and run Plex Media Server from unRAID? It's a much better experience than DLNA. Quote Link to comment
speedyonthehill
Has anyone tried to run a dual boot set up with window O.S. and the unraid as second? I was thinking of having a SSD drive M.2 on the board. Unraid on the USB drive, and using the ICY DOC with 4TB drives. All the hard drives would be to the Unraid, while the Windows would be SSD M.2 only. The question I have while the windows recognizes the Share from the Unraid, can they be share across the network from the Windows O.S.? If this works the Windows O,S, already has the DLNA media share protocols built in. Now that I am thinking about it, they are not the same drives and boot order would probably over ride the other o.s.? Any thoughts, input, trails or fears? Quote Link to comment
trurl
Windows can't read the filesystem of your Unraid disks, and you must not let another OS touch your Unraid disks or you will invalidate parity. What does your question have to do with the topic of this 5.5 year old thread anyway? Quote Link to comment
