X9SCM-F-O or X9SCM-IIF for Xeon E3 build?

Featured Replies

The X9SCM-iiF has two identical nics both are supported by unRAID.  The X9SCM-F has two different nics one is the same as the X9SCM-iiF and will work with unRAID.  The other nic on the X9SCM-F may work with unRAID (don't know for sure) but does not work with ESXi up to 5.0 at least maybe not 5.1 (without a hack anyway).  Personally I would get the X9SCM-iiF but that is just me.  Let someone else comment on any other differences - don't think there are any this is the only one I know of.

Awesome! Yes, the NIC was the only difference listed on the spec sheet. I'll go with the iif, thanks!!

I had to make the same decision earlier this year, although the iiF was more expensive at the time.  I don't regret opting for the iiF.
