Hey guys, the Plex guys have found an interesting work around to get Plex on the Apple TV 2 and 3!  It looks like it is python based so we should be able to get it running on our boxes.

I've tried that after being unable to install Plex via the hack.  It didn't work.  The video would stutter / buffer every 10 to 15 seconds.  I wish it had worked.  I love the way Plex looks on the iPad.

Though I don't own an iPad, I think this approach is quite normal and should work even with high bitrate videos. Perhaps you should ask for guidance on the Plex forums.

 

Also the PlexConnect approach works, just follow the official guide with a small note.

Thanks, but I am good.  It is just too much work to make it work.  You are better of buying a PCH-A400, and using their Plex App.
