I've never used unRAID before but it sounds like what I need. I am setting up a media server that will be running plex server, sickbeard, sabnzbd and couchpotato. I am planning on starting with a few 3 TB hard drives. Can anyone recommend some hardware to run this? I am looking to stay below $500 (not including hard drives).

Welcome to the unRAID forum. There are lots and lots of examples of good systems here to pick from...but you need to use the search function and do some research; maybe you have already....

 

Many members have their hardware configurations listed in their signatures and that should give you a few ideas to start. Half the fun is getting there! Good Luck!
