See here in the wiki (all the changes, going backwards in time are there) : http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Release_Notes#Changes_from_4.4-beta1_to_4.4-beta2 several fixes were for fairly major bugs... the "parity swap" process does not work properly on your version. Upgrade to at least the 4.3.3 final version, or the 4.4-beta2 if you don't mind using a beta version and works unless you have. (4.4-beta2 has been out for a while, next beta release should be out soon).
November 22, 200817 yr I'm in the same boat... 4.2.1 and everything works flawlessly. Right now I have an uptime of 116 days (power outage or it would be longer). The only issue I have is that when I add files, the user shares aren't updated and I have to stop/start the array. Wondering if the upgrade is worth it...
