June 17, 201313 yr I'm looking to get hold of a few more m1015's. Prices seem to have risen since I last bought some - which is probably the market figuring out how useful they are! I think I can get the answers from one of the stickied posts but I'm not 100% so it would be useful to have it spelt out for an idiot. - What alternative cards are there that share the same chipset? i.e that I can flash with the same IT firmware I have on my m1015's and have them all play nicely together. Actual manufacturer and card models would be useful here for searching - I know the chipset needed. - Are there any other SAS controllers that currently offer the same functionality of the m1015 but with a different chipset that would a) play nicely with m1015's in the same system (not necessarily share the bios which I wouldn't expect - but at least not conflict with their own bios) b) support esxi pass through c) support 3TB drives and above Widening my choices from just m1015's will hopefully let me spend a bit more frugally.
