RC15 - Waking from standby works, but Tower is unreachable.

I thought I would post an update on my quest for sleep under vs 5

I loaded up the new 5.0.1 and this time I got another option when querying the power states.

cat /sys/power/state

Now replies with:

freeze mem standby

...

Looks like standby state is gone already in 5.0.2.  ???

Tower login: root
Linux 3.9.11p-unRAID.
root@Tower:~# cat /sys/power/state
freeze mem

Was it available on your system? I think perhaps the available states are determined by what the kernel finds as valid on each specific motherboard.

Exactly. In 5.0.2, I still get:

freeze standby mem

Maybe see if you have a mobo BIOS update.

I didn't try this with 5.0.1. So can't say if it worked before. Likely not though. I expect you guys are correct and it is MB chip set related. I'm using  brand new Asus A85XM-A with latest BIOS. There is no BIOS option to re-post video on S3 sleep either, though I've been able to get it to work with S2RAM, after a lot of trial and error. This is why I was interested in kricker's post, in hope that there may be a simpler solution.
