Safe restart with no GUI [SOLVED]

Featured Replies

Hello folks,

I seem to have lost access to my web gui, and was wondering if there was a safe way to either restart the web gui, or safely restart the server from the command line (take array offline, restart -now)

edit:

I logged in as root and ran:

powerdown now

Kicked back:

Warning system going into maintenance mode NOW!

Then I ran:

shutdown -r now

and it came back up clean, no parity check.

SOLVED. Thanks!

Do you have the powerdown script installed? If so type "powerdown now" in the terminal.

I wasn't sure, so I tried it and it said:

Warning system going into maintenance mode NOW!

Or something like that. Then I got kicked to the command line.

From there, I was able to do a

shutdown -r now

and it came back up clean, no parity check.

SOLVED. Thanks!
