June 18, 201313 yr I've been having an issue with unraid where the main webpage stops responding, this is an intermittent problem. It spans various versions of Unraid as well, since RC5. Everything else works, Unraid, SQL, Headphones, Couch... etc. When I telnet into the server and try to restart the main page I get the follwing in Unraid. Jun 18 17:32:08 Tower emhttp: unRAID System Management Utility version 5.0-rc12a Jun 18 17:32:08 Tower emhttp: Copyright (C) 2005-2012, Lime Technology, LLC Jun 18 17:32:08 Tower emhttp: Pro key detected, GUID: 0XXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX Jun 18 17:32:09 Tower emhttp: diskFsStatus.1 not found Jun 18 17:32:09 Tower kernel: emhttp[10174]: segfault at 0 ip b74c2760 sp bf867f00 error 4 in libc-2.11.1.so[b7449000+15c000]
June 19, 201313 yr This is normal. unRAID must be rebooted to restart emhttp. One of the add-ons is misconfigured and causing the issue. Post in the appropriate add-on forum for help diagnosing the issue.
June 20, 201313 yr Author Meh, I replaced it with SimpleFeatures plugin and it is working again. How do I mark this topic solved, etc? Simply use the Modfiy button on the first post and use [solved] in front of the topic's name.
June 20, 201313 yr SimpleFeatures is emhttp too, just "dressed up". You may have run out of memory, or low memory, from plugins, and it may happen again. Post a syslog. Tapatalk from CM10.1 Kindle
June 20, 201313 yr Author Oh I see, well then I guess Simplefeatures won't cut it then. Link to syslog: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9Qkm4TTd718akpsTnZIZ1JZVms&usp=sharing

Link to syslog: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9Qkm4TTd718akpsTnZIZ1JZVms&usp=sharing Why don't you zip up your log so that it is smaller and try to attach it here. The link doesn't work for me but that could just be a problem at my end and I'm certainly not going to be able to diagnose it anyway. I just like to point out that when the log is zipped up it is MUCH smaller and often that is enough to allow it to be posted directly on the forum.
June 22, 201313 yr Does the problem occur with a stock system? This forum is only for diagnosing stock systems. If you need help with add-ons you will need to post in the appropriate forum. The add-on author is unlikely to see this thread.
June 22, 201313 yr Author You mean stock as in stock emhttp? yes it does. I upgraded to simple features in the last day in the hopes it will not cause said problem anymore.
June 22, 201313 yr You mean stock as in stock emhttp? yes it does. I upgraded to simple features in the last day in the hopes it will not cause said problem anymore. SimpleFeatures is not a replacement for emhttp. It is a new "skin" for emhttp (an alternate style when rendered in the browser) Therefore, if emhttp has issues, those issues will not go away simply by having the browser render it using a different appearance. June 23, 201313 yr A stock system has no aftermarket modifications. In the case of unRAID, this is a clean install. No 3rd party add-ons, i.e., no simple features, no plug-ins. Load only the unRAID operating system software as downloaded from Lime-tech. Did you prepare the flash and configure the server yourself?
June 23, 201313 yr When I started using 8a-12 I had web issues. Now that I'm running 15 I haven't had any web issues. Not saying its the fix but for sure an observation.

We will see what happens.
June 24, 201313 yr So far since the day 15 has been released my GUI had been responsive. In the past I wouldn't be able to go past 4 or 5 days. I know that doesn't fix your problem, but just an update since I know you have the same problem and are hoping my discovery will fix yours.
June 27, 201313 yr I'm thinking of reducing the amount of levels I allow cache_dir to go down into. I wonder if its choking on the bazillion files on my machine. Just visited the cache_dir thread and lowered my depth down to 6 opposed to as far as it wants to go. I'll report back if I notice any changes. Not particulary blaming cache_dirs, but just picking off possibilities one by one.
June 27, 201313 yr I have the same few addons nearly everybody has. lol However I don't think I ever had this issue with the 4.7 release. I would run with no addons, but honestly not having a safe way to shut of my server in the event of a power outage freaks me out. I could live without cache_dir, but it doing what it does and why it does is simply invaluable. I'll see how long it goes since I reduced the amount of levels in cache_dir and go from there. I as well totally rebuilt my USB stick by formating it, make it bootable then copied over the OS. Figured lets start as clean as possible.
June 28, 201313 yr Author So if it's running out of memory would increasing the RAM help, or is this something that the kernel has trouble managing when you get past a certain amount of plugins? I'm currently running with 4GB RAM with a lot of plugins.
