June 19, 201313 yr Which brand/model USB flash drive are Limetech currently using for their servers? I have used Lexar Firefly drives in the past but these are now obsolete so I would like to use the exact same drives as Limetech to ensure 100% compatibility. The FAQ seems to be outdated with regards to good/bad usb drives.
June 19, 201313 yr so I would like to use the exact same drives as Limetech to ensure 100% compatibility. :o I think you're taking compatibility concerns a little to far there my friend. If it has a GUID and can be booted from it's pretty much 100% compatible. I like SanDisk flash drives for the performance and reliability. Wouldn't buy anything else.
June 20, 201313 yr Not sure if you are in the US, but I got my FireFly from eBay. There were a good assortment when I got mine. Edit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexar-JumpDrive-FireFly-8GB-USB-Flash-Drive-/310691834670?pt=US_USB_Flash_Drives&hash=item4856ad2b2e 8GB should be def good for Unraid USB
June 20, 201313 yr +1 for the SanDisk Cruzer Mini's and Micro's +1 from me also. SanDisk Cruzers are all I use.
August 14, 201312 yr I'm a big fan of the Patriot XT and RAGE series, they're fast as balls. I wish i could swap to a USB3.0 RAGE
August 14, 201312 yr Does any of the Sandisk have a led that flashes when the stick is active? Yep, this one does... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FYNSUA/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 However, it's not a bright LED if that's what you need. Visible if you're looking at it so that you know there is some activity.
