So I am not sure why (linux and me not so good) but certain folders on my cache drive are not accessible unless I get to them via the web console.

 

When I go through my windows explorer - '\\tower2\cache\appdata\plex\Library\Application Support - it rejects me with 'contact your admin' windows message.

 

There are also other folders inaccessible via SMB - like

\\tower2\cache\cachetmp\plextmp

 

My web console is root/root and it can see all of my files.

 

Is there a certain login plex uses that shuts me out of my cache disk?

i used to have the same problem accessing the plex files/folders, so had to use mc to get to the logs etc
