4 2.5" SSD cage in a single 5.25" bay

Featured Replies

I've used the Icy Dock model that fits two 2.5 inch disks in a 3.5 inch bay. It was very nice build quality and I didn't have any problems with it. Looks like the build quality if probably the same on the one you listed.

Like mrow, I've used the 2 drive version of this, and it was very nicely built.  I'm confident the 4-drive version is equally well made.

I have a six drive version and I have not noticed noise above the other fans in the case and I am running it on the high setting.

Have you taken note of what the average/usual temp is?

I have a six drive model from iStarUSA, running two older vertex SSDs and three various brand 2.5". I've also never really noticed any noise from it. I have a corsair 800D with stock fans and I really don't hear anything from it.  Mine has two little fans in the back that I imagine you could disable but it doesn't really seem worth it to me.

No I don't have the ability right now, but the system appears to run cooler since I replaced the 3.5 inch hdds that I was using with 2 ssds and 4-2.5 inch hdds...btw this is my desktop system. I have not built my UnRaid system yet.
