Determining SATA link speed on a M1015

Featured Replies

Is it possible to tell the link speed on a M1015? I am curious if my drives are at 6gb/s or 3gb/s.

Thank you.

While not exactly an answer to your question, unless you have SSDs hooked up to your M1015 it doesn't matter what the link speed is because no spinning disks can even come close to hitting 3Gb/s in reads or writes.

Connect a SATA-3 SSD rated at > 3gb speeds; and then see what your read speeds are.

I *THINK* you are able to see it when entering BIOS and browse to the table of connected devices ?
