I am in the process of researching and acquiring parts for my first unRaid build.

 

So far I have decided/purchased:

 

Case:  LIAN LI PC-Q25B

Motherboard: Asus P8H77-I

Power Supply: SILVERSTONE ST45SF-G 450W or CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 430W

CPU: Not sure home much computing power I need

 

I need help deciding on a CPU.  I will be running Sickbeard, Couch Potato & SabNzb.  Currently I have no need to run Plex.

Which CPU will have enough power to run these progams at the same time I am watching a 1010p movie (no transcoding).

Any Core i3 will be fine.

 

Note there's a newer version of that board that's designed for Socket 1150 Haswell CPUs, but at the moment that would mean you'd have to buy an i5, as the Haswell i3's aren't being shipped until September.

 

Any Core i3 as garycase said, or even a Celeron (such as the G1620) will be more than sufficient and still has the horsepower to transcode in the future if you need to.

 

My build (in sig) is almost identical to what you are building and has a Core i3-3220T. I run everything you stated above in addition to Plex.
