July 2, 201313 yr I am in the process of setting up unRAID. It is running 5.0-rc16a. The only plugin I've installed is SimpleFeatures. I've pre-cleared my drives and am in the process of transferring over data from one drive. When I go to navigate the folder through the Web interface, it gives me an error: Warning: strftime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 41 2013-07-02 03:00 AM I've set my time zone and NTP servers using the Public IP of those servers and have applied them, but I still get this error when browsing the folder structure through the Web Interface. The log shows: Jul 2 18:21:38 Zeus ntpd[4767]: ntpd [email protected] Sat Apr 24 19:01:14 UTC 2010 (1) Jul 2 18:21:38 Zeus logger: Starting NTP daemon: /usr/sbin/ntpd -g Jul 2 18:21:38 Zeus ntpd[4768]: proto: precision = 0.532 usec Jul 2 18:21:38 Zeus ntpd[4768]: ntp_io: estimated max descriptors: 20000, initial socket boundary: 16 Jul 2 18:21:38 Zeus ntpd[4768]: Listen and drop on 0 v4wildcard 0.0.0.0 UDP 123 Jul 2 18:21:38 Zeus ntpd[4768]: Listen normally on 1 lo 127.0.0.1 UDP 123 Jul 2 18:21:38 Zeus ntpd[4768]: Listen normally on 2 eth0 10.0.1.7 UDP 123 This is the correct time in the log. When I go to console and type date, I get: Tue Jul 2 18:21:38 CDT 2013 I'm wondering if this is something that will be fixed with a reboot (which I'll do after the transfer), if I should edit the config file listed in the error, or if this is an error with SimpleFeatures? Thanks!
July 3, 201313 yr Do you have the SimoleFeatures web server plugin installed? Earlier posts have suggested that this can cause this message to be displayed.
July 3, 201313 yr Author Do you have the SimoleFeatures web server plugin installed? Earlier posts have suggested that this can cause this message to be displayed. I do have this plugin installed but I am not planning on using it. I'll remove that plugin and reboot once my current file transfer is complete. Thanks for the input.
July 3, 201313 yr Here's the fix - just follow the instructions on the SimpleFeatures Thread . http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=19508.msg237398#msg237398
