Added this small change to 5.0.1 release: "Add confirmation checkbox to enable array Stop button".  To Stop the array, whether parity check/sync is active or not, you have to check a "Yes I want to do this" box first.

 

For the other idea in this thread, to pause parity check/sync, I added a different feature in a new thread: "Throttle parity sync/check according to I/O".
