Hi!

 

I have, together with my motherboard and the Supermicro controller, the possibility to add 16 discs. To max out the capacity of my case I would only need another 4-port controller card.

 

I could get the Adaptec card for only 20 bugs (used) and I ask myself if there are differences between these two controllers performance vice or if there are any other reasons why I should spend 100€ on a second Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8.

    The 1430SA's are dated, but are still excellent cards.    If you only need 4 more ports, it's a very good choice.
