July 10, 201312 yr Hi Guys, just looking for some clarification on how the .plg files behave after first installation... Should they be left in the plugins directory? I noticed that it looked as if it was running through the install procedure (downloading installation files) etc when it rebooted. Then I tried removing the pkg files which seems to have uninstalled the applications (kind of expected that). Any thoughtS?
July 10, 201312 yr Yes - the plugins get installed every boot. The initial unRAID kernel and software is loaded into RAM, and then the plugins added on top of that.

July 10, 201312 yr But does it really have to be downloaded from the internet a second time? Really? All the plugins I have seen keep the results of a download. Many check on startup for a newer version and download that if required.
July 12, 201312 yr But does it really have to be downloaded from the internet a second time? Really? That would be a poorly written plugin. Check with the author for a later (better behaved) version. Joe L.
July 12, 201312 yr Then I tried removing the pkg files ... This deleted all the files the plugins had originally downloaded, necessitating they be re-downloaded during the reboot. If those files exist, they will be used.
July 13, 201312 yr Author I've attached my syslog, please if someone could have a look at it I would love to know why it is doing this. I'm noticing a lot of repetition in the log, maybe this is normal though. I observed it downloading on this line: "Receiving objects: 100% (22485/22485), 9.92 MiB | 153 KiB/s, done." I've seen it do it for couchpotato and sickbeard. (re-downloads) Any help appreciated, Regards, Nokoff
