July 12, 201312 yr Has anyone got an unraid build based on one of above mentioned opteron cpu's ? Especially the 3350 HE seems very interesting (very very low price point for a quad core AMD-V compatible cpu). What's more it seems to be technically the same as the 3320 EE, but with higher clock speed. Perhaps underclocking a 3350 HE will result in power saving of 3320 EE ?? Please share your experience here with one of those cpu's.
July 13, 201312 yr The 3350HE is the sweet spot of that processor line, IMHO. TDP only counts for high load....idle power is what you'll be interested in for a normal Usecase. The AM3+ mobos are not known to be very energy efficient, since they need to support CPUs with 125W TDP.

See here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=27822.0 Most ASUS AM3+ boards will support ECC as advertised on the individual product...however none will support the Opteron 33xx line officially but you have a good chance they will work.
