plex autofs nfs shares on VM

Featured Replies

I have plex installed on a ubuntu vm. I have a second vm which houses unraid and I use autofs on the ubuntu vm to mount the nfs shares in question.

I'm seeing several inconsistencies while scanning my tv shows, plex never seems to scan all the shows in question, occasionally it barely manages to scan a third of my shows.

I read several some posts that suggest the plex doesn't play nice with autofs/nfs. Just would like to poll the general public here and see what my options are.

I'd rather run the plex server on the ubuntu vm then over burden the unraid vm to install the plex plugin there. For example I have couchpotato running on the same ubuntu vm and use autofs to manage the movie library. Seems to work ok.

Thoughts?

EDIT: seeing the following errors in the log

Jul 23, 2013 16:55:36 [0xb5d4a700] WARN - Error scanning directory, we'll skip and continue: boost::filesystem::last_write_time: No such file or directory: "/media/unraid/tv/Nurse Jackie"

Your signature says you're using RC11. If so you need to update to RC16c. That should fix your problems.
