5.0-rc16c Access Denied to some folders in a share

Featured Replies

I am running 5.0 16c unraid.

I have a few shares between users. In a share (2 that I've noticed) there are certain folders I can no longer access. It says Y:\ File name is not accessible. Access is denied.

I have run util. New Permissions various times. No change. I can drill down/access the folders through the tower ui, but cannot access them through a networked drive.

was running 5.0 12 before updating to 16c (hoping it would be fixed) prior to 5.0 12 I was running 4.7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Driving me nuts.

Are you sure that the 'New Permissions' script finished?  It can take a long time to run if there are a large number of files/directories.  The script has to change (writing to each one)  the permissions on every file and folder on the file system.  I seem to recall that you have to leave the window and the browser open until the script actually finishes.  I also recall that it will return a message that it has finished.
