Help with disabled disk

Featured Replies

When I came home my server had a red ball in one of the disks (disk 1). I stopped the array, and it wasn't detected, so it should be dead, right?

I then took out the disk (norco 4224 case) and put it back. And then, like magic, it was detected again (maybe something got loose?). I run a short SMART test and it passed, so started the array again. But the dreadful red ball indicating a disable disk was still there. I re-started the server (btw, is a virtual machine in ESXi), but the red ball is still there.

So I'm puzzled... What should I do? Is the disk really disabled? I can access disk 1 through /mnt/disk1, does this mean anything? And why does it pass the smart test but then is disabled in unraid?
