Resolving network problems after replacing motherboard / router

Featured Replies

Hello!

Recently I had to replace the motherboard in my system after a lightning strike worked its way through the surge protector and fried it.  The router on the network was also destroyed and replaced.  Currently I'm able to boot the system and log in from the computer, but I am unable to access the unraid machine from the network using either the computer name or the IP address.  I verified the IP address using "ifconfig eth0."  You may have to simplify your instructions for me a bit as I'm not very technically minded, but any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Theo

One the client can you ping the server, "ping ip.address.of.server"

Can you telnet? Connect using Putty. Use the IP address and select the telnet port.
