AccessDenied, moving files but leaving folders, but not accessible on share?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have unRAID Server Pro (version: 5.0-rc15a), I have a 3tb parity drive with two 3 TB data drives.

I am having issues with how unraid is handling moving file and deleting folders from shares

I have an external renaming program that grab folders and files from a share, and moves the file somewhere else and then deletes the parent folder. The issue I am having is that some of the folders are being left behind, when I try and access them though the share I get the error posted below, but when I try and access them VIA the individual disks, I can see and access the folders (the folder are empty as the files have been moved correctly).

Shares are open to everyone, i.e no permissions set

How can I get unraid to delete the folders? it works perfectly when I do this locally...

Where does the external renaming program run?

It runs on my laptop...

I.e.

On My laptop I drag the file from the \\Storage\Backup-Config-Dump\ share into the renamer.

The renamer searches the internet for correct naming, the renamer then renames the files and and moves the files to a new folder, and should remove the old folder...
