Tybio
I've got an email to Tom to get a new key, so that's in process. However, I don't seem to have a copy of my flash anywhere..which is totally my mistake. So I've lost drive assignments. I'm going to mount drives 1 by 1 and figure out what role each plays, so that's not a huge deal. I figure parity will not properly mount, a dead give-away! However, I just want to be VERY sure on the process to start up unraid with existing drives. I can't afford to risk losing 16TB of data and I have nowhere else to copy it. I couldn't find a page on this, but if one exists I'd love to follow instructions. Goal: Assign the drives properly (on me); need process to start array without formatting drives. garycase
When you Start the array it will show you which, if any, drives are "unformatted". You have to intentionally check a box, then click on Format, to format those drives => so it's not something that will start up automatically or by accident. So you should be good to go with the process you've described. Quote Link to comment
