October 16, 201411 yr Not so much to drag up an old topic. But I just got a chromecast my self and was wondering on whatever came of this. Is there a good app that i can use to stream my videos that i got my on server to my chromecast? BubbleUPnP Assuming you have a DLNA/UPnP server running on the server, this will allow you to select a video and cast it to the chromecast. Once started the mobile device is the effective control of playback - but you can turn it off if you want. Works fine - personally I use it to send music to the chromecast plugged into the AV amp as primarily a music player. Other solutions are available...
October 16, 201411 yr +1 for BubbleUPnP. A very capable program for audio and video streaming, and works well with Chromecast in my experience.
