July 27, 201312 yr 'Secure' only allows you to set read/write or read-only, what you want is 'Private'. If before it did asked you to login even on 'Secure' (probably it would show if no user matched both unraid and client pc) it was still not what you want at all... and any login would have allowed to access these shares.
July 30, 201312 yr I'm having the same issue. My roommates can access my unRaid without needing to sign in. They just type in \\192.168... and it lets them in. How do I secure it so it prompts them every time?
July 30, 201312 yr Passwords are cached by Windows so they don't have to be entered every time. Change the password after each login in order to force a prompt each time.
July 30, 201312 yr I don't think its a cache issue because this is the first time they are accessing it.
