sony flash drive license file overwritten

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was using the free version with 3 disk and wanted to upgrade so I purchased the Sony Flash drive Pro version. I went to copy over the config files and somehow I no longer have the correct license for the Pro.....only the Basic version?  I still have my purchase receipt which I believe has the original license code on it?  Is there a way to restore this to the Sony flash drive?

Thanks,

Brian

You will need to contact limetech and get them to send you the key file. You will need to provide the GUID for the Sony flash.

If you have the email with the .key file attached follow the instructions in that email.

I think he means he got the flash drive from limetech, since Sony seems to be what Tom is shipping now.

OK. Then yes, email Limetech and ask for a new copy of your .key file. The .key file goes in the config directory. Limetech will email the .key file with further instructions.

It sounds to me like what happened was brian purchased a new Sony Pro USB, then copied the files from his new USB to his existing basic USB. If that is the case, brian, the key is specific to the USB that you purchased, and will not work on any other USB drive.
