Server has been working fine but today I wanted to create a new directory so went to access the management utility via explorer browser.

Using both 'tower' or the ip address returns the message that the page couldn't be found.

The tower is showing up under the networking tab in Windows though and I can still access the content on it. I just can't manage it anymore.

 

Any ideas?

Sounds like your gui has died. Are you running any plugins?

Attach a syslog. See my sig for info.

Seems that all it needed was a clean shutdown via putty, and a restart. All is well again.
