Network Does not Show Drive1

Featured Replies

I've been having a rough weekend, with either failing drives or bad connections, etc.

And I'm close to back and running, with no real (or important) data loss.  But I've noticed in my network setting that I'm missing Disk1 in my network.  The best way to really show is via screen shots.

In Unraid, you see disks 1-7, but my network is missing Disk1.

Any ideas on its cause?

If you type \\unraidserver\disk1 in the explorer address bar, do you get an error message?

disk 1 is not hidden is it

Yes, I do get an error.

Visiting file://unraidserver/disk5/  pulls up my public share

and file://unraidserver/disk1/ tells me no webpage found

disk 1 is not hidden is it

This is probably the issue, but I can't seem to find how it may set as hidden or where to change it.

If you click on the disk? entry in the GUI Main tab then it will call up a page giving information about that drive.

Notice the difference? \\ is not the same as //.

What error do you get if you type the address as I asked into an explorer window (not a browser, windows explorer)

Sorry about that, misread and thought you meant in a web browser.

So in an Explorer Bar, typing

\\unraidserver\disk1  is prompting for a username/pass.

searching another disk opens it contents.

I think the drive is hidden in Unraid and maybe I did that somewhere a long time ago?  And I think that when using the simplefeatures plugins, that you lose those options to change its hidden status?  See this post here:

Johnathanm.    I'm pretty sure this is an issue/bug with SimpleFeatures.  Take a look at the link I posted earlier.  This a screenshot of Disk1.  It looks like only the flash disk is the only one that shows the SMB options.

So why don't you uninstall simple features? I don't get what you are asking.

I probably will uninstall simple features.

Call this part of the whole learning process.  It was not until I noticed that Disk1 was missing in my network did I go looking for the answer.  and from further digging, believe it is an issue with SimpleFeatures.

But I would also like to learn if its possible to chagne those setting via command line.  I often SSH into my unraid machine as well.
