August 11, 201312 yr Hi, Since neither of my actual rigs seem to be supporting either s3 sleep or being able to properly wake up from it afterwards, I've decided to buy new hardware that does fully support these functions. fully. Since I've noticed that even if bios s3 sleep and wol are present doesn't actually mean they will work under unraid I can't rely on mobo specsheets to buy a new board. Therefore I'm asking in the community who has a board that really works fine with s3 and wol under unraid rc16c. I myself have been looking at asus m5a78l-m as a possible candidate, but can anyone confirm that s3 and wol really work with unraid. Any suggestions are welcome even more expensive server grade boards, since I consider this functionality a must have. Thx to all for your reply's.

Yes, sorry for not being precise enough...."not tested with unRAID", was what I meant...I retired my unRAID licenses a while ago during my move to ZFS and full disk encryption. IMHO it *should* work with unRAID, as this is "just" another linux kernel based distribution. Ubuntu relies on the ACPI-PM parts to be activated, AFAIR....I needed to install the pm-utils and after that, a "pm-suspend" worked like a charm.
