August 13, 201312 yr Hi, I have about 250 GB of data that needs to be transferred to /mnt/user/MOVIES/LargeMovie. My cache drive doesn't have that much space and keeps crapping out due to lack of space. How can I bypass the cache drive and copy the data? Does copying files directly to /mnt/disk5/MOVIES/LargeMovie work without parity errors?
August 13, 201312 yr doesnt just copying to the drive's mount directly bypass the cache? i thought the cacher works off things being written to the 'share' itself. instead of copying to \\server\TV you'd do \\server\disk#\TV
August 13, 201312 yr Yes, you can copy directly to the individual disk to bypass the cache ==> OR, if you have quite a few of these to do, simply change the share settings to that share is not cached ... then you don't have to concern yourself with which disk it needs to go on.
August 17, 201312 yr Thank you folks, I copied directly to the disk# and worked like a charm. You can also use /mnt/user0 share (bypasses cache)
