File Modification TimeStamps

Featured Replies

All of a sudden plex is now not picking up new files added to my library and it would appear its to do with their turbo scan using timestamps as the marker to see if new files have been added to their respective folders.

Anyone come up with a solution for this?

Manually I can do a deep scan to pick up the files, but this is a pain.

My last post on the topic at : http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=28638.0 may help (spurred by the same post in the release thread that likely prompted you to make this topic!).

Not sure if the underlying cause is the same as yours but it sounds similar.

Hi Boof, thanks for the response...Funnily enough, i looked for threads for this issue (clearly not very well), hence this new one made.

As it seems to be a recognised issue with Tom, i look forward to the fix in 5 "final"... Interestingly though you mention that by restarting samba cleared your issue. How do you go about doing that? I'd rebooted my server to no avail, is there something specific i should be doing?

cheers

Well that's the nuclear option - I imagine that would have done it :)

Rather than fiddling and restarting the service underneath unraid from the command line I simply went to the webgui 'disabled' samba and then renabled it.

The gui spits out text to show it's stopping and starting the service in the background.

It does sound like perhaps it's a different issue. As I mentioned in the other thread my actual on disk information as far as unraid was concerned was correct. It was just when viewing the same information via samba that there was a disconnect.
