August 24, 201312 yr I didn't check your syslogs, but there are no concerns above in what you listed. Some items are wrongly listed as errors or issues. I do have one recommendation, I see ata_piix being used, which usually means that in your BIOS SATA settings, you have SATA mode set to IDE emulation. I strongly urge you to change that to AHCI, anything but an IDE emulation mode. It should be slightly faster, and a little safer.
August 26, 201312 yr Author Hi RobJ, thanks for taking the time to check. I double checked the BIOS settings. SATA modes were set to AHCI. I also disabled all IDE ports.
