August 25, 201312 yr Hi! I am new to this community and unraid in general. I built myself a tower and unfortunately im stuck before im even off the ground and running my tower... Cooler Master 590 Case GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 Micro ATX AMD AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Brisbane 2.6GHz Socket AM2 PQI POWER Series 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 Themaltake 430 watt PSU hard drive cage with fan Sandisk USB 2Gig Drive, Loaded with the newest free version of Unraid My issue I followed the set up wiki and did all the steps including preclearing my two 3tb drives im starting with. Now its time for me to assign them to the array...except they wont show up in my disk management utility but it appears they show up when I type the dmesg| grep SATA| grep link command as pictured. What do you guys suggest I do or am doing wrong? Thank you!
August 25, 201312 yr looks like you are using unRAID 4.7. It does not support 3TB drives. Use 5.0rc16c and you'll be able to assign the drives. (it also functions as a free version same as 4.7)
August 25, 201312 yr Author well shucks im an idiot Joe. I apologize for the noob question.. is 5.0 a stable release? I just dont want to loose my data sense it says development.
