sas2lp-mv8 parity-check errors

Featured Replies

hello,

i'm having this card (sas2lp-mv8) and using it on motherboard M5A99FX PRO R2.0 from asus.

both with the latest firmware/bios

when i do a parity-check i get errors.

but when i connect al my drives to the mainboard everything is working correctly.

so what can be the problem?

i'm doing a parity check at the moment, i will post the system-log later on...

is it possible that my problem is the motherboard?

that it is not fully supported or something like that?

Check your cables [you may have a faulty breakout cable] and your power connections [are you using the same power feeds when you connect the drives to the motherboard ports?].

Also, did you disable Int-13 in the card's BIOS?    It's not clear that it's always required (may depend on the specific version), but it's a common modification for use with UnRAID.

- i did disable int13

- i use the same powerconnectors

- i have 2 8087-data cables and both give me the same problems

Try a different PCIe slot.    Are you using an x16 or an x4 slot?  [Your board has 4 physical x16 slots; but two are x16 electrically and two are x4]

i changed again a few hard drives and doing a check now.

i will change the pci slot next time (this evening)
