Want to Start from Scratch, but keep the data on my drives

Featured Replies

I have a few 4.7 Unraid servers (3), but one of them has been unstable because of a power outage we had.  When the system rebotted, I got some errors that I worked through, but the server was never the same.  This particular server only has movies and now that we have a final version 5, I thought I should start to fix this.  What are the steps I should take to first upgrade I guess and then start adding a dive at a time?  I am not sure so I was hoping someone could help me with this.  What I want is the data on each drive I have, but not the partity info and rebuild it with the new version.  Thank you...

If you have had problems and the server does not appear to be completely reliable, you might want to put the array into Maintenance mode and do a reiserfsck check on each of the /dev/mdnn type devices.  This will ensure that you do not have any residual file system corruption that might be causing issues.
