I've tried searching forum but can't seem to figure this out. When the computer is "POST"ing the Intel NIC works, but once it boots into unRAID it powers down. So obviously it doesn't have an IP in ifconfig. Any tricks to enabling this network card (instead of the mobo NIC).

disabled the onboard NIC in bios and all works now.

I suspect you have an onboard NIC that's set as primary ... this would cause the BIOS to not use any add-in card ... and if it's not being used, it likely powers down.
