Installing PLGs

Featured Replies

Install PLGs

1. get the PLG into your unRaid server to /boot/config/plugins

This may be a really stupid question

Can I put the PLG right on my Flash?

i.e. flash/plugins

That appears to be where the webGui-latest.plg is

/boot is where the USB drive is mounted when using the Linux command line environment from a console/telnet session.    The 'flash' share is how the USB drive shows up when using shares over the network.  They are therefore two different ways of stating the same thing depending on the mode you are in.

So from the Flash does it need to be

/config/plugins

Or can it be just be

/plugins

to quote Limetech (circa 2011):

Also, if you look at /etc/rc.d/rc.local, the sequence is this:

a) install slack packages from /boot/extra

b) install all /boot/plugins/*.plg files  (ie, "system" plugins)

c) install all /boot/config/plugins/.plg files  (ie, "user" plugins)

d) invoke 'go' script

you are installing a 'user' plugin.
