September 7, 201312 yr Sounds like a cabling issue. Try using a different set of cables with the sas2lp-mv8 Another possibility is the power -- are you using the same power connectors on the drives regardless of how the data line is connected?
September 7, 201312 yr Author when my parity has been rebuild, i will switch the 2 cables but it is strange that i can build a parity? the problem only happens with checking the array the powerconnector should be ok, i will check also today or tomorrow i will also post the syslog this afternoon
September 10, 201312 yr Author hello, i've switched some cables arround and everything seems fine now i did a parity-check 2 times now and everything still ok
September 10, 201312 yr Glad all's okay. It's surprising how often "failures" are really just cabling or connector issues. Reseating the drives and/or cables cures a LOT of apparent errors. [Drives DO fail, of course ... but it's a good idea to always shut down; reseat the drives; reseat the cables; and see if that resolves it => and if not to try a new data cable for any recalcitrant drives.]
