September 16, 201312 yr What would be the easiest way to setup PXE booting Openelec from scratch on Unraid? I have read so many posts and tried so many different programs such as: http://www.vercot.com/~serva/ http://www.ultimatedeployment.org/ I can get them to boot .iso files ok but have had no luck importing OpenElec. Looks like people have this working from their unraid boxes. I run DHCP from my router w/tomato firmware. I would like to be able to PXE boot Openelec on a foxconn NT-330i which is ION based. Thanks for any help.
September 16, 201312 yr Author I did find this post: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=27234.0 I am a little confused at this point and was looking for a setup from scratch on unraid.
September 19, 201312 yr I actually moved away from running TFTP on my unraid box. I have a dedicated Window Server 2008 box that I use to manage my ESXi box and just installed TFTP32 on that (actually...TFTP64) since I am much more of a Windows guy. I also wanted the ability to PXE boot unRAID. In a perfect world I would love to find a way to use my ESXi box as the PXE server but I have yet to find a way to do it. Glad you were able to get it to work though. Updating openelec is a snap and no hard drive required. John
