Can anyone guess when the latest samba will be integrated into unraid?

v5 is running 3.6.10 and the latest stable is 4.0.9.

 

Can samba be easily upgraded before unraid officially updates it? I've been running into quite a few issues and have started to lean towards samba as the culprit (network resource no longer available, timeouts, copy attempts timeout then crash the gui and terminal services). Just looking through the laundry list of bug fixes since 3.6.10 shows quite a few issues that could be of consequence. fuse has been updated, so i figured the last big piece to the picture would be samba.
