User shares

Not sure where to start...Okay I upgraded to 5.0 final everything went okay till I got to user shares. I was running 4.7 before and had it set up like I wanted but I can't seem to do the same thing on 5. What I am tring to do is give everyone read access to my files and still be able to write to the server myself. On unraid 4.7 this was easy to do I just added myself as an exception. So how do I do the same thing on unraid 5.0 final. I am unable to write to the server unless I make everything public. My shares are: Moviez, Music, Pictures, Other Stuff And Uploads witch is public

:-[ Note: I am a plus user

You would need to set up the share as 'secure'.  You could then have a user which the majority of users use that has read-only access, and give your own user full access.

That could work if I could set it up with out a password as I have a front end that uses the server and a password is not possible. 5.0 will not let you create users without passwords unless it is public. I have since switched back to 4.7 I only wanted 5 because it supported larger drives.

Enable Shares; and create a share ... e.g. "MyBigDrive"

Then when you go to \\Tower you'll see "MyBigDrive" that will use all of your drives.  If you don't want to see the individual drives, don't export them [Click on the drive in the Main screen and set Export to No -- or to Hidden if you want to be able to access them with \\Tower\disk1 but don't want to see them when you go to \\Tower].
