Time Machine issue

Featured Replies

Time Machine has been working with my iMac for awhile, all of a sudden it can't see my unRaid server.  I can get to all of my files just fine in the finder but the share doesn't show up as a backup disk in TM.

I've tried a lot of things already.  Any suggestions?

For me, I keep having to 'refresh' the connection to unRAID by bringing up Finder, hitting command-K and typing afp://unraidhostname

Once that connection's done, Time Machine starts working again.

Thank you but not working for me.  My wife's iMac has no problem with her Time Machine backups to the same share.  Frustrating !

This may be a good time to set up individual shares for each client. This way you can limit the TM size on a per client basis. With multiple clients using a single share there is no way to keep a single client from consuming the entire share capacity.

Deleting the Time Machine plist file finally worked although I had tried that before.
