September 24, 201312 yr I upgraded to version 5 yesterday and everything went quite well, or so I thought. Yesterday I was able to see the status screen through the webgui at unraid/main.htm - the link I've used for years. Today I tried to get to the server through the webgui and all I got was a blank screen. I rebooted the server and then I could see the status webgui screen again. But, ater 15 minutes or so, it was gone again. Cannot see the webgui. The shares are all there and everything is working. I can copy files to and from, I can play media through my Plex server but I just cannot see the webgui. Any ideas?
September 24, 201312 yr unRAID GUI is somewhat strange. Maybe you open up a support call since you're able to reproduce the behavior? I had some cases of GUI being unresponsive while doing a preclear. Another time, I had the server on a LAN party and the GUI was unresponsive just seconds after I took the array online. That was also a very repeatable behavior. Back at home everything was fine again. The GUI is not very reliable in my opinion. Make sure to have the clean powerdown script installed, then you can restart (powerdown) from the console.
