ioctl errors

FYI, I turned off the spinup/spindown on 9/27. No errors of any sort since then.

I've emailed Lime Technology a link to this thread a few days ago, hopefully he'll look in or at respond to my email. No response yet.

Did you ever get a resolution?  I have the same drives and cant get anyone to respond or help?  I thought maybe it was the LSI 2008 m1015 controller so i downgraded the firmware.  I have the same ST33000650SS drives and they dont show temps or capabilities in unraid and they wont spin down.

I'd like to also know if this thread got Tom's attention.  I'll forward the same link to him as well since I am facing the same issue.  I thought my drives were broken/proprietary to the manufacturers but I'm glad I found this thread.

I figured if you had a RAID Card/Backplane that read SAS drives, it would work - never thunk to also include the OS having to be compatible with issuing the commands.

I do hope that this will get implemented/better supported as well because UnRaid can run VMs.  My purpose for having these drives were to run the VMs and cached pool.

Upgrade to unRAID version 6.2 and retest. There is no further development on v5.
